About Me
I’m Marina a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC), a Chartered Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (AFBPsS), and a Licensed Psychotherapist.
I have been working as a Psychologist since 2006 in Voluntary, Public, and Private sectors with Adults and Adolescents who present a range of emotional and Psychological difficulties including, but not limited to, psychosis, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, self-harm, eating disorder, loss and bereavement, trauma, relationship difficulties and work-related stress.
I’m a trained and Accredited Supervisor who offers supervision to both newly qualified and experienced Psychologists, Psychotherapists and Counsellors. My journey began with a deep curiosity about life and a desire to seek answers, which led me to question, reflect, and explore through philosophy, psychology, and my own experiences. This curiosity nurtured my interest in the human psyche and was later strongly shaped by existentialism.
Long before my work in Psychology, I trained as an Actor and Dancer, studying techniques that deeply informed my understanding of human behaviour, expression, and presence. These practices became deeply integrated with my exploration of the human psyche and creative expression, giving me insight into how movement, emotion, and presence shape our experiences. My wide-ranging interests across cultures and disciplines have given me a profound appreciation for the richness and complexity of human experience, and an understanding of how curiosity, creativity, and embodied practice can shape our lives.
